On July 15th 2008 Double Dragon Publishing Inc. (Canada) announced that it would step up production of audio books with exclusive distribution through Audible.com and iTunes (Apple Inc.).
While Double Dragon Publishing currently produces audio books from its own in-house studio as well as having collaborative relationships with several audio production studios in the USA. It has recently formed a close collaborative partnership with UK based studio ACTION AUDIO.
"With over 30 years experience in the voice-based services industry we feel that Action Audio brings to the table the talent, energy and experience necessary to move forward in this fast paced environment", said Deron Douglas publisher and CEO of Double Dragon Publishing Inc.
With the help of Action Audio, Double Dragon Publishing plans to produce 20-30 audio titles on a monthly basis. Drawing upon its current list of top selling Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Romance titles, Double Dragon Publishing plans to release its current best sellers as well as back-listed and future titles in these genres.

Production will start in August 2008, with titles appearing at Audible.com and iTunes in the late summer or early fall.
